GWAVA releases new version of Retain for GroupWise Archiving

GWAVA, Novell’s largest collaboration partner for GroupWise and Teaming, announced today new features for Retain for GroupWise, its leading email archiving solution.

GWAVA has been continually focusing and expanding Retain by adding new features and powerful functionality including support for MS SQL 2000 and 2005; Oracle 10 and 11, PostgreSQL 8.2, as well as support for EMC Centera.

The latest version also supports GWAVA Reload, making it easy to integrate the product into Reload and adding powerful features of Retain. It is also more flexible for leading database programs.

“Companies already running their own database solutions can now easily add a powerful and focused e-mail archiving product with the latest version of Retain for GroupWise. It is the first time we have introduce this functionality so it is a major step for GWAVA to be able to introduce to customers these improved flexible and manageable features,” said Richard Bliss, vice president, global marketing, GWAVA.

In its first year of releasing the product, GWAVA Retain for GroupWise was also given a favorable mention in the Gartner Magic Quadrant report for the Email Archiving Market.
